Introduction

plaid introduction

Plaid is about connecting the app with its supported banks, making it easy to access bank account info and verify identity. Plaid plays a major role in sharing securely the information between the bank and application.

Also, to clear some confusion, Plaid doesn't transfer money. However, it gives us processor_id we can use to do so. In the tutorial, they use Dwolla, and use a proccessor_id to make an actual money transaction and payment processing. please refer to this link
